    I would say that The long winters in New England sometimes feel like they last forever. First of all, it is not objective, it is very subjective - to some it may seem like it lasts forever, but to people who like winter it may seem short. Also, there isn't any formal language like in the other sentences: foliage, thaw, variety, bloom, in contrast, humid, etc.
