you need great grammar and vocabulary

It really depends on what you're supposed to be writing about. If you're given a prompt, make sure you answer it in its entirety with a lot of details. If it's something personal, try to be creative with it instead of just simply talking about yourself. Ask a few people, such as a teacher, to read it over.
