    Sensory language. The more senses you include in your essay, the more the reader feels like they are in the story and are experiencing the same thing. For example: instead of "Sara walked by grandma's window with a smile," it is, "Sarah walked by grandmas window with a smile. The air smelt of pumpkin pie just waiting to be eaten."
