    B. Frank Lloyd Wright is noted for the prairie style of architecture, low building close to the ground that seem to be part of the environment. He also designed Falling Water, a home in Bear Run, near Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania, for Edgar and Liliane Kaufman. It is in fact built in the mountains but it incorporates a waterfall into the design of the home. Many say it is the most famous home in the world.

He is also famous for designing the Gugenheim Museum in New York. The museum was harshly criticized when it was built. Some critics said it looks like a "washing machine." But today it is recognized as a masterpiece.
