What is Malala Yousafzai's analogy used in her United Nations 2013 speech? Explain it.

    The speaker is Malala Yousafzai, a Pakistani girl; she is sixteen years old. She was shot by Taliban in on October 2012. Malala was the first and the youngest person who received the biggest European human rights prize called "Sakh arov" Malala was received Nobel Peace Prize in 2013. She also received many other international awards such as women of the year 2013 by Glamour, Women's rights award "Raw & War (Malala yousafzai Web, 2013). Malala Yousafzai give a speech at the United Nations. The terrorist attack make her strong person although she is young. She did not give a speech for revenge, however, she finds that talking about the importance of receiving education for all people at the time of shot.     Then she said: Malala day is not my day. Today is the day of every woman, every boy and every girl who have raised their voice for their rights. There are hundreds of Human rights activists and social workers who are not only speaking for human rights, but who are struggling to achieve their goals of education, peace and equality. Thousands of people have been killed by the terrorists and millions have been injured. I am just one of them

    The candid and disinterested voice of Malala is used to create a kind of attention between the terrorist shot and people who don't receive human right such as education. Furthermore, Malala used a privet aspect of her life to persuade her speech which is about terrorist shot. She wanted to find a solution by telling her story. The best solution is to receive education for everyone.

    Metaphors

    Malala said: "Dear sisters and brothers, we realize the importance of light when we see darkness. We realize the importance of our voice when we are silenced. In the same way, when we were in Swat, the north of Pakistan, we realized the importance of pens and books when we saw the guns." She used the metaphors 'light' and darkness; and she compared light and darkness to education and illiterateness. Further, she compared these two opposite things to prove that people can see and understand the world through light. Light reveals which is hidden in darkness.
