What happend to the pride land when scar took over

When Mufasa was alive, Pride Rock was a healthy and shiny place, due to his good leadership. Scar, his evil brother, took over the kingdom and turned the land in a dark and dry place, the same place as his empty soul was.

After Mufasa's death, his brother Scar becomes the new king of Pride Rock. As soon as he became the king he implemented his politics. The most important thing is that he made a pact with hyenas, the beasts that wanted to destroy Pride Rock and kill the Lion King. This pact was not a good idea. The population of hyenas has grown and the need for food also. The land turned into a desert without life.
