The most credible source to use to find data on the number of pet adoptions that took place in your city would be a poll that you conduct - among your neighbors to find out how many have adopted pets.

    Answer: D

    Explanation:

Every year there are N number of adoptions that takes place in different parts of the cities. So if one has to find out the number of pet adoptions that took place in one's city, then the best source perhaps would be conducting poll.

By conducting polls in our neighborhood will give us a fair data of the total number of adoptions that took place. The local newspaper will provide the data of only specific locality and not the whole city. Annual report from the country on the other hand will not necessary provide the information we are looking for.

Thus, conducting poll is the suitable source from which we would get to where and known how many pets were adopted by the people.
