    I think that would be the only valid argument that he could use because the statement by a professional basketball player is just one case and wouldn't be enough for making a valid argument. Also, the writer's personal opinion or a personal anecdote is not enough for a valid argument. The first option, the one with the personal blog, is not enough either because earning money for a professional sport player is not a bad thing, it is a real job and sports players have to earn that money. So, the only valid argument would be the second option.
