Shakespeare makes allusions to the great rulers Alexander and Caesar to emphasize that everyone eventually dies.

There is no escaping death, regardless of how important you are - this is why he mentioned these great rulers. Even those great and famous leaders such as Caesar and Alexander died in the end. These two people were so loved and strong that they thought they could evade death, however, obviously, this was not the case - which is true for every living being.
