Which sentence from Wonder best reveals August's feelings through indirect characterization? The last surgery I had was eight months ago, and I probably won't have to have any more for another couple of years. What I wanted was to go to school, but only if I could be like every other kid going to school. Mom sat down in a chair in front of Mr. Tushman's desk, and even though there was another chair right next to hers, I decided to stand beside her. I'm not exaggerating when I say this, but my heart literally started beating like I'd just run the longest race in the world.
