The mythological gods and goddesses often behaved very similarly to humans. They

got jealous, they argued, they fought and even interfered in the lives of mortals. Why do

you think they were portrayed in such a way?

    Answer: I believe that the gods and goddesses behaved the way they did was in order to allow living people to project their life and emotions onto them, therefore making these deities more relatable. Through this reflection of human life, people were probably put at ease to put a human mind to forces they did not understand, making it more comfortable and less confusing to think about.
