    Critical, because you are actively engaging and analyzing what is going on. you use this then to further the conversation and challenge those involved. reflective means you take that info and ponder it but keep it to yourself. appreciative means you agree or like what's being said but don't contend or challenge it. and empathetic doesn't make any sense in that context unless the topic required you to commiserate with the people around you.
