Which is correct, I or me? Lydia and I/me are going to be in the play.

    I is the correct one because it is being used as a subject

    Lydia and I are going to be in the play. I is correct for one because it not only sounds better but states you subject. Keep in mind that you will rarely use 'me' in sentences unless used in dialogue.
