What are some connections between lord of the rings and anglo-saxon culture or ideas?

I think there are some connections between kinship between the cultures. For instance, the author was the Anglo-Saxon professor and also taught British literature in senior schools while Tolkien was an Anglo expert of the poem that was always included in the Anglo Saxons and other standard writings. There many similarities that are shared between the cultures.

The Celtic people were warriors and settled in Britain; this is not because of invasion; however, it was a difficulty that they were single people, and they did not have unity.
