The four layers of the oceanic hydrosphere are the lithosphere, atmosphere, biosphere, and the hydrosphere. The lithosphere is the rigid outer part of the earth, consisting the crust and the upper mantle. The atmosphere is the envelope of gases surrounding the earth or another planet. The biosphere is the regions of the surface, atmosphere, and hydrosphere of the earth occupied by living organisms. The hydrosphere is all of the waters on the earths surface, such as lakes and seas, and sometimes including water over the earths surface, such as clouds.
