What are types of refugees that we have around the world?

Around the world, a person or people who have been forced to flee their country due to violence, persecution or war is known as a refugee. Refugees are protected under International Law, where the defining principle is that they should not be returned to situations that threaten their freedom and lives. There are two types of refugees: those seeking political asylum, and those seeking Humanitarian asylum, they may be people who fear persecution due to religion, racial attributes, political affiliation or social status.
