As early map makers concluded, the shorelines of South America and Africa coincided nicely. Suggest some early evidence indicating that these two landmasses were once joined and in some way had been torn away from each other.

    South America and Africa were connected aim the Paleozoic, when the Pangea continent existed. All the continents where one landmass. "Pan"means all, and "Gea" means earth
