Why has popular culture tended to be more destructive of the environment than folk culture? Popular culture's transmission tends to use more resources. Folk culture tends to receive less support from the government. Folk culture is more dependent on its surroundings. Folk culture has more of a consumption approach because of subsistence agriculture. Popular culture is more based on conservatism.
