    Yes. The colonists were being taxed without any say in the English government. Also, Parliament basically shut down Boston Harbor, allowed soldiers to stay in colonists' homes without permission, and pay taxes on items colonists couldn't make. Those are just a few of the unfair Acts Parliament created to pay off their war debt (French and Indian War) and spite the colonists.
