Contrary to prevailing views, the moonless night sky is rarely, if ever, black or blue. It is actually much more colorful. In this article, I'll describe some of the colors and the physical reasons for those colors. The daytime Earth's sky is blue due to Rayleigh scattering.

The air pollution causes it to look pale blue or even milky white as a clean sky would appear blue therefore the sky is actually colorless but the gases and pollution which is sometimes bad pollution changes the color
