    The Canadian Shield is largest physiographic region of canada which extends from Alberta eastward to Newfoundland and Labrador and northward to Greenland, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.

    The Shield covers area of 4.8 million square kilometres.

    It also covers almost two thirds of Ontario
