    Explanation:

    The North Pole, and the South Pole for that matter, don't experience day and night as in the mid-latitudes or low latitudes in general. In fact, the North Pole has periods where it has only night or only day for several weeks, or even months. It has to be noted though that the day at the North Pole seems more like a constant dawn, and the night seems more like a constant dusk.

    The reason for this is the shape of Earth and the tilting of Earth. When Earth is tilted with the North Pole toward the Sun, the North Pole constantly receives light, just that is falls under very low angle so it can not heat it up properly. In the opposite part of the year, the Earth is tilted away from the Sun with the North Pole, so the North Pole doesn't receive light at all for a long time, as it is not exposed to the Sun at all.
