What is the difference between conservation and reclamation? Why is it important for California residents to do both?

Reclamation includes actions such as replanting trees and grass and resettling endangered wildlife after raising in captivity. Both are important to many places; conservation is more important to areas where nature is still untouched, and reclamation is important in areas where nature has been more tampered with. California, with both of these qualities, would regard both processes as important.
