The minority groups are subject to discrimination with its sociological use; the dominant group is the groups that are in power and has the authority of controlling the minority group. Being a minority bracket is a characteristic that comes with a lot of challenges from discrimination and abuse.

It is a lack of power that makes the minority group predominant as opposed to the dominant group that takes advantage of the minority. More substantial groups sometimes that lacks the ability are placed in the minority groups because of lack of power.
