Maricella and Joey are working in the school garden which has an area of 190.52 square feet. Their task is to sprinkle 0.025 pounds of nutrients on every square foot of the garden. How many pounds of nutrients do Maricella and Joey need for the entire garden?

    The correct answer is - 4.763 pounds.

    By having the information about how much of an area the garden occupies, and how much nutrients should be sprinkled, we can easily get to the required amount of how many pounds of nutrients are needed for the whole garden.

    So the garden has an area of 190.52 square feet. Every square foot of the garden should get the total same amount of nutrients, 0.025 pounds.

    In order to get to the result we just need to multiply the amount of nutrients required for every square meter of the garden with the total area of the garden:

    0.025 x 190.52 = 4.763

    We get a result of 4.763, which means that is the total amount of nutrients needed to sprinkle all of the garden.
