Sediment generally changes from sand to mud to limestone.

    Explanation:

When walking from the shore of the beach into the oceans there is a change in the composition of the deposits of sediments as beaches are mostly made of the sediment deposits, the shore is marked by the contact between the land and the sea. The sediments are sandy in texture and get converted to mud and then limestone at the base is due to the rose and fall of the sea levels. The sediments are deposited in layers and may consist of the marine organisms. This depends on the size and composition and the density, and distance of the sea body, erosion of sediments by wave action and is a gradual process that places over time.
