Where do tectonic activities such as earthquakes or volcanic eruptions tend to occur

Tectonic activities occur mostly at or near the areas near the surface of the earth where tectonic plates meet. These plates are like slowly shifting pieces to a puzzle that makes up the earth's outer skin. Activity can also occur where the Earth's liquid mantle comes particularly close to the surface.
