    Explanation:

Rain (from lat. Pluvĭa) is an atmospheric phenomenon of an aquatic type that begins with the condensation of water vapor contained in the clouds.

According to the official definition of the World Meteorological Organization, rain is the precipitation of liquid particles of water, with a diameter greater than 0.5 mm or smaller drops, but very dispersed. If it does not reach the earth's surface, it would not be rain but virga and if the diameter is smaller it would be drizzle. Rain is measured in millimeters per year, less than 200 are few, between 200 and 500 are scarce, between 500 and 1,000 are normal, between 1,000 and 2,000 are abundant and more than 2,000 are many. In this way the rain is measured by a numerical variable. Water can also return to the earth, in the form of snow or hail.
