Most seismic activity occurs at three types of plate boundaries-divergent, convergent, and transform. As the plates move past each other, they sometimes get caught and pressure builds up.

Convergent, Divergent, Transform Boundaries are three plate boundaries.

    Explanation:

The boundary where the two separate plates push into each other forms a Convergent boundary. Group of volcanoes are formed in parallel line to the trench because of this.

When two plates move in an opposite from each other forms a Divergent boundary. When two plates pass each other grinding one another, it results in transform boundaries. This does not result in the mountain formation whereas the halting motion of plates results in Earthquakes.
