White flight is an example of Pygmalion effect because it stems from expectations of a white population for the new immigrants to behave a certain way which are then confirmed because of the said expectations.

    Explanation:

Robert Rosenthal defined the Pygmalion effect as a self fulfilling prophecy, in that if a person or a group of people expect some behavior from others, they end up fitting into that behavior.

because the white population has a certain bias against the ethnically diverse people that moved into their living spaces in 50s and 60s, the tended to see those stereotypes more in their new neighbors. hence the phenomenon of white flight came about. the white population felt uncomfortable in their neighborhood because of their expectations and decided to move out.
