Explanation:
Harry Potter belonged to Gryffindor house.
There were four houses of Hogwarts:
1) Gryffindor
2) Slytherin
3) Ravenclaw
4) Hufflepuff
These houses were named after its founders Godric Gryffindor, Salazar Slytherin, Rowena Ravenclaw and Helga Hufflepuff. Each of these house competed for yearly cups based on their performance.
Harry Potter was a part of Gryffindor house that exhibited the quality of bravery, courage and chivalry. Lion was the mascot of house with scarlet and gold as its colors.
Harry was cunning, resourceful and clever, all these qualities ascribed to Slytherin house but he was destined to be a part of Gryffindor.
