The city has many interesting places to visit. The Tiananmen Square is one of those places, though the main reason why it is famous is because o the protests and the aggressive destruction of them by the government. The Forbidden City is a beautiful old complex of buildings that have been very important in the past, The Temple of Heaven is a beautiful complex of imperial religious buildings, and the Summer Palace being a beautiful remnant of the imperial garden of the Qing Dynasty.
