Interdependence is when two or more people or things depend on each other the same amount. This can be related to the European Union because each country that is part of this organization is interdependent on the EU for the same things. So, for example both France and Germany who are member states have the same rules from the European Union and depend on the EU for their travel regulations and monetary regulations.
