What are the criteria and the fuels that America should rely on for our energy needs in the future?

The criteria that we should adopt which selecting a fuel for our future energy demands shall be:

1) The yield of the fuel should be sufficient that it yields energy amount that is sufficient in it's quantity to meet the demand.

2) It should not release harmful gases into the atmosphere that may cause global warming or ozone depletion.

3) The disposal of the waste that remains after their utilization should not be harmful to the ground or environment in general.

4) The cost of the energy produced should not be excessively high.

5) The fuel should not be locally distributed that adds to the logistics and distribution charges it should be uniformly available.
