    It is well known that Antarctica, Australia and Africa (South America too) were neighboring when Pangea still existed, and even after the break up of the super continent, the continents were still close enough so that birds can migrate, and it took quite some time for them to be separated at a distance that the birds can not pass. So the perching birds were separated on three continents, and even though they have the same basis, they do have some specific characteristics that developed over time.
