"Renewable" means "It doesn't get used up because there's always more."
Coal, oil, water, natural gas, clean air, and radio spectrum are not renewable, because nobody is making more of them, and once they're gone, they're gone.
Wind, tide, and sunshine are renewable, because no matter how much you use,
there's always more where that came from.
Trees are renewable because they drop seeds on the ground, from which
more trees grow.
