    It's name is pahoehoe. It is the second more abundant type of lava flow. Pahoehoe lava is characterized by ropy, billowy, or smooth surface. This type of lava tends to be relatively thin, from just few inches to few feet thick. This flows, on map-views tend to be narrow and elongate.
