Describe about bio chemical process of weathering?

The weathering is the process of breaking down of rocks into small particles, sediments by the action of chemical, mechanical and biological agent.

In biochemical weathering process the rock structure is disintegrated by the action of chemical agent such as by the oxidation process. The disintegrated rocks can be subjected to the affect of biological agents like animals, plant roots penetrating the roots inside the rocks, human activities like mining. Thus the rocks will become brittle and broken down into sub-parts by the process of bio-chemical weathering process.

Biochemical weathering is the disintegration of rocks due to the presence of roots of plants and trees that hold soil and thereby break down the bedrocks deep inside the earth. A similar process can be done by man and animals as these animals dig up the soil and bring it out and thus expose the newer layers of soil and hence making out prone to erosion and disintegration, and decompose by bacterias. Thus altering the chemical concentration of rock minerals. Man as an active agent of weathering due to the construction activities destroys the top layers of soil and thereby exposing it underneath thus winds and running water can entree the rocks by cracks and crevices and cause rocks to fracture and thereby leading to biogenically produced-chemical weathering.
