Sephardic Jews speak Ladino or Judeo-Spanish, a mix of Hebrew and Spanish while Ashkenazi Jews speak Yiddish, a mix of Hebrew and German. Sephardic Jews lived across the Iberian peninsula, while the Ashkenazi lived in Central and Eastern Europe, assimilating themselves. Sephardic Jews also tend to be more orthodox then the Ashkenazi.
