The proximity of the ocean has huge impact on the climate, both daily and annually. The air is humid all the time because of the constant evaporation. The precipitation is much higher then the places further away from the ocean, and there's places where it rains almost every day of the year. The temperature variations are smaller, both daily and annually, daily there's a relatively small difference between the night and the day temperature because the water cools off and warms up slower then the ground, annually the variations of the temperatures are also relatively small, the winters are mild and not harsh, will the summers are pleasant and usually the temperature is not very high. All in all, it makes the climate more stable, and less variable.
