How many people died in the nevado del ruiz eruption in november 13 1985

The overall death toll of this event was 23 000, out of which 20 000 were in one town:Armero, which before had 29 000 inhabitants, so 2 out of 3 people in this town died during this tragedy. Apart from Armero other villages suffered too, such as Chinchina, bringing the number to 23 000

Actually an estimate of about 25,000 to be exact. Probably a little less or more.
