Unlike constitutional monarchs, absolute monarchs believed they had authority

Absolute monarchs believed that they had absolute authority over all people. They basically believed that their rule was their divine right and sometime they were even praised as gods, example being the pharaohs of Egypt. They didn't care about any rights or laws because they were the law and their word was final about everything.
