Can someone explain what foxes evolved from because I don't understand the google answer.

    The Arctic fox (Vulpes lagopus) was thought to have evolved in Europe as the ice sheet expanded when a glacial period swept the Earth about 2.6 million years ago. so that means it evolved from Tibetan ice foxes
