    Cubic cleavage occurs on when there are three cleavage planes intersecting at 90 degrees.

    Rhombohedral cleavage occurs when there are three cleavage planes intersecting at angles that are not 90 degrees.

    Prismatic cleavage occurs when there are two cleavage planes in a crystal.
