The rock glaciers are most often found in cirque basins. They are distinctive geomorphological forms, consisting either of angular rock debris frozen in interstitial ice, former ''true'' glaciers overlain by a layer of taulus, or maybe something in between. This type of glaciers may extend outward and downslope from taulus cones, glaciers and terminal moraines of glaciers.
