    The effect on the seasons of the earth would have been drastic and catastrophic as the earth has a natural tilt that is created due to the the cyclic processes that run in the environment and earth's geologic history for long, and since the planet's atmosphere is a direct result of this tilt. Earth's tilt is thus a product of the rotational motion and is duly affected by the speed of rotation around the sun, as the earth spins in the anticlockwise direction this leads to the angle of incidences falling on the earth's surface to be absorbed by the layer of atmosphere over the earth surface. If the change takes place in the tilt of the earth would be abnormal heating and cooling of the landmasses and day and night pattern would also be affected. If the earth's orbit would have more spherical than the current elliptical one then the earth and sun distance would have been reduced causing the earth to get little sunlight and life would not have existed.
