The greatest annual average temperature range appears in the continental climates. These type of climates has very hot summers, and very cold winters. For example we can take the Republic of Macedonia, which is predominantly a country with variations of continental climates, where in the summer the temperatures go above 40 degrees Celsius, and the average is close to 30 degrees Celsius, while in the winter it can go to - 25 degrees Celsius, and an average of - 10 degrees Celsius. So it can easily have a variation on the average temperature between the hottest and coldest month of around 35 degrees Celsius.
