Sea and land breezes are caused because

A sea breeze is a wind that blows from the ocean toward the land during the day; occurs in the spring and summer. A land breeze is just the opposite. It blows from the land toward the ocean, but during the night. The change of the direction of the wind is because of higher and lower pressure amounts over land and sea.
