Pangaea was a supercontinent. All existing continents today were once joined together to form the Pangaea.

This was proven when identical plant and animal fossils were found in different continents around the world. These fossils were of the same age. These continents once formed the southern part of Pangea

    Fossil: Continent

Cynognathus - Animal South America, Africa

Glossopteris - Plant South America, Africa, Antarctica, Australia, Asia (India)

Lystrosaurus - Animal Africa, Antarctica, Asia (India)
