Clare wonders if the height of the toilet paper tube or the distance around the tube is greater what information would she need in order to solve the problem how could she find this out

    Answer: Clare will need to measure the diameter across the tube.

    She'll also need the to find the constant pi, whose value is 3.142

    She'll also need to measure the height of the tube from top to bottom.

    NB: the measurements should be done with a well calibrated meter rule.

    After obtaining these values, Clare will then proceed to calculate for the circumference of the tube. She will do these by multiplying pi and the diameter of the tube.

    She can then compare her result to the height of the tube.
